I am extremely grateful for the endorsement of our 47th governor here in the great state of Arkansas! I look forward to working hard for the people of House District 4 and allowing all of their voices to be heard on the Capitol floor!
Jason spent a career serving his country and now wants to continue to serve his community!
Jason understands how to focus teams of individuals towards a common goal that everyone can rally behind.
Just like Rep. Jack Fortner, Jason is passionate about being involved personally with the district he will represent.

Life begins at conception and these unborn children deserve someone fighting for their rights!
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
The people are capable of policing themselves when given the ability to do so. A strong local government and local law enforcement is the backbone to ensuring safety and security for our local communities.
As a strong conservative Christian, I believe in the importance of protecting the conservative Christian values that our country was formed on because the further we stray from these values, the closer we will move to a country without freedom, filled with chaos and corruption.
As a pilot for an air ambulance company myself, I work hand in hand with the law enforcement officers and first responders in our community and know the importance of them having the best training, the best equipment, and pay that is commensurate with what they do. These folks work all hours of the day & night and we need to make sure they are well taken care of!
I moved to Cotter, Arkansas with my family when my father retired from the Navy in 1991. I graduated from Cotter in 1994 and entered the workforce right away holding a few jobs locally (Baxter Regional Hospital, Ranger Boats, Avnet Cable Technologies & others). I married my wife, Kammi (Statler) of Lakeview in 1996 and joined the Army that same year as our family began to grow with our first child (Samantha).
Kammi and I were married in our local church back in 1996 where we are still faithful members and attend regularly. We love our local church and the impact that it makes in our community and the world!
During my first few years in the Army I had already spent 6 months in Egypt, 1 year in Korea, and 1 year in Iraq on the first of many combat deployments and we had now been blessed with our second child (Charles) who is currently on active duty in the Army. At my eight-year mark in the Army, I decided to make an upward transition and applied to the Army’s aviation program for helicopters. After successfully completing flight training for Blackhawk helicopters I went on a 1 year rotation back to Egypt. I was then assigned to an aviation brigade at Fort Campbell, KY and was deployed again to combat, this time for one year in Afghanistan. During my mid-tour break from that deployment, I applied and assessed for the elite 160th Special Operations Aviation unit known more commonly as the “Night Stalkers”. I passed the assessment successfully and was accepted into the Night Stalkers where I spent nearly 10 years finishing out my military service completing many deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and other locations in support of special operations missions.
Throughout my military career I continued my education by completing a Bachelors of Science as well as two Masters degrees in business and leadership.
After retiring from the Army in 2019, Kammi and I were blessed to be able to move back home to Cotter and I started flying for Air Evac while we also began renovating homes and buildings in Cotter to help revitalize our town, starting two successful businesses in the process that created homes and jobs for others. I also started volunteering with the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office as a pilot for the aviation unit there. Another volunteer position that I began to help with was taking on the position of the president for the Cotter-Gassville Chamber of Commerce and helped organize new programs such as movies in the park, Christmas in Cotter, and brought new life to the annual Cotter Trout Festival. I was also part of the core group that was able to re-light the historic Cotter Bridge.
I am extremely passionate about helping our district be the best version of its current self and I would like to be your voice on the capitol floor. I respectfully ask for your confidence and for your vote to be that voice and I want to connect with you personally so that your voice can be heard in Little Rock. District 4 is an incredible place to live and we deserve to be heard, please vote for me in the coming election and help us all to be heard.
